Transformational coaching rests at the heart of my approach to nutrition coaching; it's not just about what you eat or how active you are, but together we will also tackle the mindsets that drive the decisions you make. The goal is for you to experience sustainable transformation and finally step off the diet rollercoaster.
Proverbs 27:17, ERV
As a Nutrition Coach, my main focus is supporting clients in building sustainable practices that will help them reach their short and long term wellness goals. Our conversations are more like what you might experience during a life coaching session. I share tools and resources that empower clients to make different decisions about what they will eat, how active they are each week, along with other habits that align to their overall goals.
Registered Dietician Nutritionists, on the other hand, look at how changes to diet can prevent or minimize the impact of disease. While physicians often prescribe medications for disease management, Registered Dietician Nutritionists can prescribe meal plans for disease management.
This is a key difference between the scope of practice of a Nutrition Coach and a Registered Dietician Nutritionist - Nutrition Coaches provide education so you can develop your own meal plans where Registered Dietician Nutritionists can make them for you, often in order to manage a known illness.
